That did not happen but I didn’t give up on my dream to work with a lingerie line."
The campaign pays homage to the ballroom scene, a safe space where Bloom found acceptance and the confidence to be herself while competing with other queer youth. Alongside Leyna, the campaign features a roster of models and dancers that fully showcase the size ranges of the collection. As for the criteria for brands she's want to work with it's all about having "the courage to be disruptive, to challenge societal norms, to uplift communities that don’t have much support.
As for lingerie itself, Leyna is all about comfort: "For me, wearing lingerie has to be a form of comfort. From how the textures feel and compliment the body to the atmosphere of the moment, those are all important factors." Her favorite pieces from the collection? The ones with all the flowers because it reminds Bloom of her last name, of course.
