YouTube content group the Try Guys regularly upload hilariously entertaining videos on the social platform. However, on Saturday their feed took a more personal approach to their latest creation.
"I created this music video as my personal way of coming out as a proud gay man who has many unheard, specific stories to tell," Yang tweeted Saturday in conjunction with his video. The Try Guys previously created content for Buzzfeed but departed from the media giant in 2018 to start their own company. At the end of Yang's video, he included some of his openly-gay former Buzzfeed colleagues Jazzmyne Robbins and Curly Velasquez.
The music video, with music by electronic duo ODESZA, was also made as a partnership with the Trevor Project, one of the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people.
