KUALA LUMPUR - A singer who made headlines for allegedly keeping a sun bear in her apartment has claimed trial at a Sessions Court in Malaysia to two charges.
The charge under Section 69 of the Wildlife Protection Act carries a maximum fine of RM200,000 or jail up to 10 years, or both, if convicted. The charge under Section 86 of the same Act carries a fine of between RM5,000 and RM50,000 or imprisonment up to one year, or both, on conviction.
