When you have sports and large amounts of money involved then there will always be corruption and scandals, to much money to be made. Athletes, clubs, collages, brands, sponsors etc

Slap on the wrist for the elite

This was a very minor crime...why doesn't the media ask why politicians (both D's and R's) are allowed to break the law...

Rotten system doesn't allow education for poor, that is 70 per cent of Americans.

How is what he did different from big donors with names on campus buildings for kid’s acceptance, for instance!

This wasn’t one mistake. It was a scam and conspiracy.

The justice system is a complete farce

Did you enjoy sailing?

Bought Off University 'Sailing' Coach? That explains all those terrible sailboat, rowboat and inner-tube collisions last summer. God help us when news breaks about corrupt Professors selling those expensive Basket-weaving PhD's -- it'll be utter chaos at the flea-markets.🍸

Only because they got caught

I hope he thinks long and hard about what he’s done during his ONE DAY SENTENCE IN JAIL.

Hindsight vs Common Sense, Honesty, & Integrity; More Specifically, He's '$orry' He Got Caught!

Man -- tough job, teaching sailing at Stanford No wonder black people have to live in $2,000/m efficiency apartments.

Geez...you think!? Dumbasss

Kim Foxx must be the prosecutor

He won't face prison. Saved you a click.

He did not take any money, he gave it to the school and the 2 kids did not go to Stanford, that helped with the leniency.

He accepted 700k and only spends one night in jail and has to pay back 10k of it? Hmm doesn’t seem commensurate to the crime

John has the skills to sail away.
