Actor Kiefer Sutherland took to Twitter to voice his displeasure over Ontario Premier Doug Ford's comparison to his grandfather, Tommy Douglas

Actor Kiefer Sutherland was not impressed by Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s evocation of his grandfather, famed Canadian politician Tommy Douglas, and took to“I personally find your comparison of your policies to his offensive,” he wrote, adding in a post-script, “You’re lucky my mom’s not active on Twitter.

Douglas, who was premier of Saskatchewan from 1944 to 1961 and leader of the New Democratic Party for a decade after that, is widely recognized as “The Father of Medicare” in Canada.
