Disney CEO says it will be 'difficult' to film in Georgia if abortion ban takes effect

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Bob Iger told Reuters on Wednesday it would be"very difficult" for the media company to keep filming in Georgia if a new abortion law takes effect because many people will not want to work in the U.S. state.

Asked if Disney would keep filming in Georgia, Iger said it would be"very difficult to do so" if the abortion law is implemented. Georgia is one of eight states to pass anti-abortion legislation this year for the purpose of inducing the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark case that established a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy.

But if your workers didn't want to work around lgbq community it would be discrimination and they would be fired if they didn't but it's ok to up and move for this issue

It’s funny how Disney has become so political. They have always been a “family” and “children” based company, but now they feel the need to stand by their Hollywood whack jobs, instead of the families who made them what they are today. Actors are easily replaceable, fans aren’t.

There are many states creating similar laws, so are we not filming in ANY conservative states anymore?

People forget that cities, states and countries compete for their locations to be chosen for such projects....if you make your space one that is unappealing to work in they have a myriad of other spaces to chose from.

I get it, and BRAVO to those companies taking a stand, but 2 things: 1. you can't fix stupid. 2. you can't reason with a mentality of crash and burn everything at any cost.
