The power of Eurovision.

Iceland’s Eurovision entry Hatari continued with their protest against Israel, despite members of the Israeli broadcaster trying to confiscate their banners.And a video from before the moment shows staff trying to confiscate the flags from the group.

However, it seems that the band managed to keep hold of some of the Palestinian flags, as when the camera came to them, they were holding them defiantly.The protest has been praised by many Eurovision viewers and boycotters alike, after there were calls to boycott the 2019 final due to Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories.
