EUROVISION fans are convinced show opener was major dig at UK's 2007 entry Scooch who finished in 22nd place.

The 90s band starring David Ducasse, Natalie Powers, Caroline Barnes and Russ Spencer failed to impress viewers as they dressed up as flight attendants 12 years ago.Tonight, fans were reminded of their show theme when the contest kicked off with an enormous plane built on the stage, bringing with itOne said: "I didn't realise #Scooch was the theme for this year's #eurovision opening.

Someone joked: "So nice that #Scooch were asked to open @Eurovision @bbceurovision #Eurovision #DareToDream."Someone else remarked: "Wasn't there a British #Eurovision act once that was based on flight? #Scooch.
