PETALING JAYA: The student-driven #StandTogether movement has resonated deeply with a host of top Malaysian celebrities and opinion leaders, many of whom volunteered to return to their schools to spread the message of kindness, and visit other participating schools as well.

Celebrities including Lisa Surihani, Harith Iskander, Arwind Kumar, Jinnyboy, Jenn Chia, Nik Qistina, Rabbit Mac and Chef Wan have all taken time to visit schools over the past month, in states from Penang to Sabah.

SMK Kubu Gajah received a celebrity visit after its “Kindness Project” was named as one of the Top 10 finalists of the #StandTogether Competition. “It was a good feeling to see how the students had gone out of their way to take on these projects for National Kindness Week,” said Harith during a visit to anotherA labour of love: Chia with students of Stella Maris Primary School, Ampang, who took her on a tour of the school’s Kindness Initiatives.

SP Setia CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen himself visited his alma mater in Parit Buntar, where he said Setia’s mission to build communities that “stay together” is what drives their commitment to the #StandTogether campaign.
