Hamas and Israel show no signs of letting up following their latest violent exchange, with flare-ups occurring almost monthly.

Of course the longer this round goes on the greater the chance of further casualties, and so the cycle continues. The UN and Egypt are currently trying to broker a ceasefire but as of yet there has been no respite in the fighting. However, any truce will be extremely fragile and it maybe that we are now heading into a summer of violence unless the underlying problems are addressed.
