New A24 Movie With Euphoria Star Earns Studio Its Highest Rotten Tomatoes Score Of 2024

Summary A new A24 movie with a Euphoria star, Sing Sing, earns the studio its highest Rotten Tomatoes score of 2024. Based on a true story, the film follows the inmates of the eponymous correctional facility who decide to put on their own musical production inside the maximum security prison.

Following the film's limited theatrical release on July 12, Sing Sing's Rotten Tomatoes score has solidified at 97%. Though it could still fluctuate slightly, there are just under 70 reviews at the time of writing, so the score should stand as A24's highest of the year so far. Additionally, its audience score is 87% on fewer than 50 ratings.

Domingo's performance in Sing Sing is being singled out and earning much praise as the best of his career. The actor also stars in the popular HBO series Euphoria as the recovering drug addict, Ali, who acts as a mentor to Zendaya's Rue, a performance that won Domingo an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2022.

With its overwhelmingly positive reviews, Sing Sing has earned A24 its highest Rotten Tomatoes score of the year so far, beating out Problemista , Love Lies Bleeding , Civil War , I Saw the TV Glow Tuesday , Janet Planet , and MaXXXine . It's just past the halfway point of the year, so there will be plenty of opportunities for the studio to surpass Sing Sing. Upcoming A24 movies in 2024 include A Different Man, Y2K, We Live in Time, and Heretic.
