Black lawmakers are seemingly at odds with Black voters as they continue to back President Joe Biden amid calls for him to drop out of the presidential race.Members of the influential Congressional Black Caucus are standing with Biden as a growing number of Democrats urged the president to step aside after his disastrous debate performance on June 27, which sparked panic about his ability to defeat presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump in November.
'Any 'leader' calling for President Biden to drop out needs to get their priorities straight and stop undermining this incredible actual leader,' Wilson said. 'What Democrats need to be doing is stop listening to these political pundits and focus on what's at stake this election: our democracy.
