You know those nights where you promise yourself you’ll get to sleep at a reasonable hour and then end up in a YouTube hole until half 3 in the morning? That’s exactly what this video was made for.
Your eyes aren’t deceiving you, Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon really have recreated the full 3 and a half minute video to Dead Or Alive’s You Spin Me Round for a reason only known to Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon. As the guest on The Tonight Show, Paul naturally took on the role of lead singer Pete Burns, while Jimmy embodied guitarist and vocalist Steve Coy.
The video is a full on shot-for-shot remake of the 1985 hit, complete with perm wigs, awful visual effects and a lot of golden flag waving. Paul is actually on a press tour to promote his latest movie Avengers: Endgame, but – probably realising the film was going to do pretty well anyway – he took some time off from talking about Ant-Man’s superheroing and donned an eye-patch and pale pink lipstick instead.Perhaps it was a tactic deployed by the Endgame directors themselves, as Rudd has previous with trying to reveal secrets about the latest in the superhero series.
