Doireann Garrihy reacts to former 2FM Breakfast host's last day on radio show

Former 2FM presenter Doireann Garrihy said she “shed a tear” listening to Donncha O’Callaghan sign off on the breakfast show for the last time.

"Honestly, it was never taken for granted on me. I wouldn't have been able to do it if it wasn't for your unbelievable support.With just seconds to go before the show ended, he quickly added: "Go raibh míle maith agat, slán!" It follows the departure of his breakfast show co-host Doireann Garrihy and The 2 Johnnies decision to leave the station in May.

"Thank you to Dan and Paul for an amazing opportunity & taking a complete flyer on me. Loads of people say they will give you a chance, very few actually do it and I can't thank ye enough. He continued: “The heartbeat of course is the fantastic listeners, I will always appreciate the love and support – you have been the absolute best!
