Several people were injured during a number of attacks, seemingly by a single shark, at a beach in Texas. Two people were bitten and a third injured while trying to help, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said in a statement, although some reports mentioned that four people had been hurt on South Padre Island on Texas' south coast on Thursday.
Mother Nereyda Bazaldua told CNN her 18-year-old daughter Victoria was one of the people who was bitten. She told how Victoria and her sister were in shallow, knee-deep water when they screamed: 'Shark!''The shark pushed into her, five to six of his teeth scratched her leg,' Bazaldua said. 'The wounds aren't deep.'The mother added: 'We never saw the shark till he was right there with them. It wasn't choppy water and the seas were calm.
