William “Rusty” Golden died at his home in Hendersonville, just outside of Nashville, Tenn., according to a press release. No cause of death was revealed. “This is the hardest thing ever for a father to have to face,” Golden, 85, said in a statement. “I love my family more than anything. Rusty was a great musician, a talented songwriter, and a wonderful son. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for the days ahead. I love you, son.”next to a photo of Golden and band member Duane Allen. “I was telling Rusty that the first album I recorded with the Oak Ridge Boys was in this same studio in 1966. Rusty was like another son to me.
