The show will highlight tamales, tacos and pan dulce from the annual Day of the Dead festival at Hemisfair.

Television watchers around the country can get a taste of San Antonio’s Muertos Fest next week, when the annual Dia de los Muertos festival is highlighted on the show “Carnival Eats.” The episode, titled “Parmageddon,” will air Sunday, July 7 at 8 p.m. Central on the Cooking Channel, a cable channel owned by Food Network.

Other upcoming episodes will highlight Rodeo Austin and the Four States Fair in Texarkana. During Sunday's episode, the show’s host, Noah Cappe, will try a loaded Oaxacan tamale, an Elote Dog — a bacon-wrapped hot dog covered with street corn — and a smash burger taco, according to the Cooking Channel.
