Arne Slot will be busy assessing his squad ahead of his first season as the new Liverpool head coach.
Behind the scenes, Liverpool will be hard at work looking at potential transfer targets. New sporting director Richard Hughes will be looking at possible deals he could get over the line to help build Slot's squad for the season ahead. Should Liverpool make a move for Rabiot, it would present several options to Slot in midfield for next season. His predecessor, Jurgen Klopp, worked to rebuild the Reds midfield last summer with the signings of Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister.
There is also the matter of other members of the squad getting a look in. Tyler Morton will be returning from a loan at Hull City, while Stefan Bajcetic is aiming to enjoy an injury-free campaign. Bobby Clark, James McConnell and Trey Nyoni will be among the academy stars who will also be aiming to break into the first-team over the next 12 months.
