If you’re still in the mood Friday to celebrate U.S. independence, the Alamo is remembering the Fourth of July on the fifth by anchoring a free, family-friendly downtown street party. And for those willing to spend $100 to get the air-conditioned version, there’s an evening VIP access to the Shrine of Texas Liberty’s museum artifacts and their curator.
, produced by Sky Elements and narrated by country music artist Pat Green. The nearly 15-minute show is similar to one presented for the Alamo’s 1724 Gala fundraiser on March 2. For the adult price of a Benjamin Franklin — the U.S. currency denomination that features the portrait of the party-loving founding father — there’s the VIP Experience with the Alamo’s on-site curator and after-hours access to the Alamo Exhibit’s artifacts and documents in climate-controlled comfort. It runs from 6 p.m.
