Malaysia has been getting a lot of love from international acts lately, with non-stop concerts and tour announcements. Unfortunately, with all the good news also come some bad news. If you haven’t heard, the Good Vibes Festival has cancelled its 2024 edition out of respect for the King’s coronation ceremony - but they’re not the only one.
In a statement, Future Sound Asia shared that they had to cancel the two-day music festival, initially scheduled for 20th and 21st July , out of respect for the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, which is happening on 20th July. The organiser explained that they could reschedule the program - but GVF involves multiple touring acts, so they had no choice but to cancel the entire festival.
Thankfully, there is also good news for fans of South Korean singer 10CM . The singer-songwriter’s Kuala Lumpur concert was also initially slated for 20th July. However, Banyak Bagus Entertainment announced that the concert would proceed, but on a new date . The venue will remain the same, and all current tickets will be transferred automatically to the new date. However, fans who can’t make it to the rescheduled date can request a refund from the organiser.
