The Who's Pete Townshend says the band's managers stole much of the money from album sales.

There are black swans in our business and they’re the ones that always mop up all the money.

It’s unlikely Townshend is hurting for cash, though. In 2021, he sold his home in London for 15 million pounds . And the band has toured regularly since the late 1990s.
