N.J.’s Renauld White, barrier-breaking model and ‘Guiding Light’ actor, dead at 80

White’s achievement in fashion was rooted in his parents, the obituary says — his mother was a hat model in the 1950s and he was inspired by the way his dapper father wore suits. The Jersey talent became the first African American male model to endorse Vitalis hair products.
