The company said each park -- including Cedar Point -- 'will retain their legacy branding with no changes to park names currently being planned or contemplated.'and Kings Island, has completed its merger with Six Flags as the amusement park giants join forces for a newly named company now known as Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.

Selim Bassoul, who was President and CEO for Six Flags, will now serve as executive chairman of the combined company's board of directors. Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is North America’s largest regional amusement-resort operator with 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resort properties across 17 states in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
