New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) show that car sales, including electric vehicles, slowed down in June.

New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that car sales, including electric vehicles, slowed down in June.

Petrol cars lead the new car market at 32.96%, followed by diesel at 22.89%, then hybrid at 20.11%, electric at 13.61% and plug-in electric hybrid at 8.83%. The five biggest selling new car models were the Hyundai Tucson, the Skoda Octavia, the Kia Sportage, the Toyota Rav 4 and the Toyota Yaris Cross.
