Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid apologised to viewers and said she was 'distracted' as she discussed the latest update in the Jay Slater missing person case

During Monday's episode of Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid and Ed Balls discussed the case of missing teenager Jay Slater.

She said: "Sorry, I was slightly distracted by the news about Jay Slater and the fact that the police there in Tenerife have decided to stop the actual search...I just feel...how has that young man disappeared into thin air?" "How could you possibly? You couldn't leave Tenerife, could you? Knowing that your son is somewhere there?""As time passes, the internet fills with speculation, stories, and conspiracies, and for the family, they'll know there is a simple explanation, but they will also be reading all of this complexity and they just don't know," reports the Mirror.
