The wife of West Coast Eagles star Jamie Cripps has undergone surgery amid a serious battle with cancer. Liv revealed on Monday that she had lymph nodes removed after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2021. Uploading a picture from her hospital bed, Liv urged everyone to get any unusual bumps checked by a doctor. “Round 2 and a few less lymph nodes later 👊 This is your reminder to get those lumps n bumps checked!! #fkcancer,” she posted on Instagram.
“At the age of 26, is just the furthest thing from your mind,” she said. “It was the last thing I was expecting — Jamie went grey, I was in shock. It was such an emotional time.” Liv said that the first time she noticed anything was amiss was when her fingers pressed over a small lump while she was taking a shower. After a few weeks, she decided to visit her GP after noticing it had grown in size.
