While reflecting on dyeing her hair platinum blonde and embracing a new sound ahead of the release of her fourth album, C,XOXO, which comes out Friday, the pop star, 27, acknowledged the possible consequences of her image reboot and new 'party girl' aesthetic.
She explained: 'It felt like this exploration of girlhood into womanhood … even the line in 'Dream Girls', where I'm like, all the girls that are learning to be women now get the album', I feel like it really feels like me … learning to be a woman.' She continued: 'I feel like it's just been a year of, like, the theme has very much been"play" and"transformation" and changing and being brave.'
'I do feel like everyone should do it... it brings out a different part of your personality. It's kind of like a YOLO,' she gushed. 'It's all good. This is not feeling good. Let's be friends. I love you, it's all good let's move on, you go do your thing … become the person that you're becoming, and I'll root for you,' she said. 'It's so ironic. I feel like the inauthentic thing to do would be to give the public what you know is gonna work for you, or what they're already expecting from you,' she told Complex.
'I will always care about him and love him. He's such a good person and I'm lucky because some people have exes that are awful, and he is not. He's a really kind, good person,' she said.The duo were spotted jet-skiing together and having an intimate conversation at Turks and Caicos Islands' hotspot Noah's Ark Beach Club in footage obtained by Pop Crave.'You know what, I love that man. I love him. We all love him,' she added.
