Radio host Ken Bruce has faced the pure wrath of Taylor Swift fans after making a comment about her music and has now been branded 'out of touch' as many question his role in music

Ken Bruce has been brutally attacked by Taylor Swift fans after he said he'll refuse to play her songs until "she writes something that isn't about her ex-boyfriends."

He added: "Great radio songs have three beats and then they're straight into the song, not these long intros that she does. We're a 70s, 80s and 90s radio show as our core audience is older." It's perhaps unlikely Ken didn't realise that his comments would generate such severe backlash, but he may not have been prepared for what came through on social media.

And a fourth person was keen to add a bit of logic to their comment and not just rely on personal attacks, as they said: "there's literally so many songs that don't have a romantic theme at all and so many more that revolve around a fictional romance NOT a personal one e.g. cowboy like me, gold rush, right where you left me, cardigan etc."

He continued: "We do ask questions from the 50s as well and 60s. Our core audience on Greatest Hits Radio is older so they've got to be able to answer most of the questions." But this is not the first time Ken's comments have caused a stir as he seemingly made a dig at the BBC while at this year's TRIC Awards.
