AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From a film festival to a"Texas-sized party", there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.The Austin Asian American Film Festival is happening now, marking 16 years of presenting films made by Asian American filmmakers. This year's fest includes a dozen feature films, as well as short films and exclusive events.
While All Access Badges are sold out online, a very limited number are available for purchase in-person at the AFS Cinema box office. Tickets for individual films are alsoIt's time for the annual Pride Picnic at Pease Park, presented by the Pease Park Conservancy and Future Front Texas. The four-hour event will feature a market of 30 local vendors, tie-dying, a plant swap, friendship bracelet making, food, drinks and more.
The"SEC Celebration" will include interactive games, a Ferris wheel, Texas x SEC co-branded merchandise, photo ops, live music – including a While most events are planned either near the Main Mall or on 21st Street, the fun isn't limited to those spots.
