It's the Manchester hotel that celebrities are all flocking to at the moment. Nicki Minaj, David Beckham, Liam Gallagher and Olly Murs have all stayed in the luxurious Stock Exchange Hotel in recent weeks.
The hotel has won an army of fans since it opened - and has a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor, making it the fourth best hotel in Manchester on current rankings. The warm welcome It's just after 3pm that I arrive at the Stock Exchange Hotel after negotiating the hustle and bustle of Market Street . It sits on neighbouring Norfolk Street, which by contrast is utterly tranquil, despite the central location.
The bedrooms Once I'd finished my fizz, I was whisked up to my bedroom on the second floor. There are 40 bedrooms inside the hotel - ranging in price from £185 up to £1,750 a night for the vast and luxurious penthouse suite called The House. As I was having a solo stay here for the night, I made the most of the freedom and spreadeagled across the bed to enjoy some TV before getting ready to go out.View gallery There are plush green velvet chairs and a leather chaise longue, as well as a desk area and cabinet with a posh coffee machine on top. There's also a wooden bowl filled with goodies like posh crisps and chocolate that you can buy as an extra during your stay.
Breakfast - and a famous guest After a lovely night's sleep in that giant bed, it was time to go and experience the hotel's breakfast. And an epic feast it was too. The new restaurant The restaurant space inside the hotel is an area that many Mancs will be familiar with. I remember it when it was Stock Italian restaurant around 20 years ago, and being dazzled by the stunning glass dome roof inside.
The basement bar The final part of the hotel that's definitely worth exploring is the basement - where award-winning bar Sterling can be found. This is open to the general public for bookings, as well as for hotel guests.
