Last week was a challenging one for the music industry and especially for 'Pick Up the Phone' artist Travis Scott. The rapper, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was arrested in Miami on 27th June and faced multiple charges.
According to TMZ, the incident unfolded when the rapper asked his driver to return to a yacht he was previously aboard early Thursday morning. An insider familiar with the situation reported that the artist realised he had left his bag and phone on the yacht so he returned to retrieve his belongings. However, upon returning to the dock, the situation took a turn for the worse.
TMZ reported that a Miami Beach Police spokesperson confirmed they would respect the judicial process and allow the case to proceed. According to The Guardian, the songwriter was arrested last week in Miami Beach and charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Police stated that the artist became involved in a disturbance on the yacht, yelling at people on board.
