Australia’s largest regional airline Rex has launched new flight routes connecting the nation’s west coast to the east for a bargain. As the first of the new services take to the skies on Friday, the airline has also launched a 72-hour sale with one-way fares from $149. Return flights from Perth to Adelaide and Melbourne will offer “a new era of competitive pricing for travellers after almost 15 years of sky-high fares to Perth,” Rex said on Friday.
Even after the sale ends, the regular fares are still expected to be the cheapest in a decade, the association said. The flights between Perth and Melbourne will run five days a week on the airline’s 737s, while flights between Perth and Adelaide will run three days a week using National Jet Express Embraer E-190 jets.
