FORMER EastEnders actress Carol Harrison has claimed she was axed from the soap for being too old.
The actress played Louise Raymond, mum of Martine McCutcheon’s character Tiffany Mitchell, but left the soap in 1999 - but it wasn't her choice. And although Carole had plenty of meaty storylines - helping the soap scoop its first BAFTA thanks to Louise's affair with Tiffany's husband Grant Mitchell - she is adamant bosses ditched her from the BBC soap because at 42, she was already "past it"."I think that’s why EastEnders got rid of me – I was considered past it.
She said: "Once you reached your 40s you sort of went from being a desirable woman to someone who was desperate."If you are in your 40s and you are middle class, you get cast as a barrister.Martine McCutcheon bows out of EastEnders
She not seen other characters Barbara Windsor , Pam st Claire Wendy Richards n the actresses that played dot cotton , Lou Beale n Ethal , what the old lady needs to realise her character in eastenders had served her purpose n she’s in need of some money
