This Morning had to hit the brakes on Thursday when Ben Shephard was amusingly sidetracked while he and Cat Deeley were previewing what was in store for the show.

The programme encountered a slight hiccup on Thursday as Ben Shephard was charmingly diverted. He and his This Morning co-host Cat Deeley were in the midst of teasing the day's content when the interruption happened.

Then the camera cut to David at a safari park, who said: "One of my favourite exhibits is the dinosaur section, I'm joined by a little bearded dragon here, this is Kenny, say hello Kenny." Cat wrapped up with: "Helping you make a splash this summer, Laura is poolside with her pick of the best swimwear."

Later, after previewing what's to come on the show, Ben and Cat welcomed Isla Traquair live from Tenerife, who was covering the disappearance of teenager Jay Slater.
