Authorities on the Spanish island of Tenerife are conducting a major search for a British teenager who has been missing for more than week after attending a music festival. Jay Slater, 19, went missing after attending the NRG festival in the south of the island, and was last heard from between 8am and 9am local time on June 17, according to a GoFundMe fundraising campaign set up to help find him.

Major search underway for missing British teenager Jay Slater. The campaign was organised by a friend of Slater’s named Lucy Mae, who said she had left the festival before Slater on Sunday, June 16. According to the fundraiser, Slater told Lucy Mae he had met two men on Sunday night and travelled with them to their apartment in a remote location. Slater called her about 8.
