I’m hoping that young gay actors are much more comfortable. Eight years on from playing Patrick, Jeremy is back ‘I know in America they still have that fear. I spent a year there. I didn’t end up working very much. I did a couple of films over there but I didn’t really get to the point where I had to have those interviews and have those questions asked. I don’t know now what effect that has on people’s careers. I suspect it probably still does. ‘I hope not here in the UK.
