Music lovers of a certain vintage who attended the New Day in Cambusnethan are being urged to check their attics and cellars for video footage from 35 years ago of a well-loved entertainer.

"I’ve tried raising awareness over the last few years and made my contact details available to anyone that may be in touch with anyone associated with the records, but unfortunately I’ve had no joy.
