The 2024 supernatural gothic horror film, directed and written by Robert Eggers, is a remake of the 1922 silent German Expressionist movie Nosferatu .
Aside from Skarsgård, the other cast members of the horror remake include Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, and several other notable actors and actresses, all of whom boost the film's promotion. But even though they can all be spotted in the Nosferatu trailer, the star that everyone wants to see is Skarsgård as Count Orlok, aka Nosferatu, since he is the movie's main draw.
By not showing Skarsgård's vampire character Nosferatu in the teaser trailer of the 2024 supernatural gothic horror film, the director is establishing him as a mythic figure. It indicates that the other characters find Nosferatu mysterious and are scared of him.
