Renowned Hong Kong actor-director Stephen Chow recently celebrated his 62nd birthday - and it turned out to be a rather international affair. That’s because the Hong Kong star celebrated his big day with Japanese dance troupe Avantgardey and, to an extent, Malaysian musical trio Steady Gang.
The public figure recently shared a video of him getting a birthday performance from the Japanese dance troupe. Avantgardey was in Hong Kong during Stephen’s birthday weekend and thus decided to celebrate his special day with an exclusive performance. The video starts with the group entering the room whilst the song “Trendy Now” from Hong Kong singer-actor Louis Koo plays in the background.
Of course, the video caught the attention of many Malaysians, including the members of Steady Gang, who were excited that Stephen posted about their own on his social media account. In an Instagram post, the trio shared their reactions to the video, wishing Stephen a happy birthday and thanking Avantgardey for featuring their song.
