Fair City star Shane Quigley Murphy is prepared to adapt and move onto the next thing amid the RTÉ cutbacks.

"I’ve a genuine belief that people don’t have a hatred towards RTÉ, they’ve a hatred and anger towards what happened with a certain number of individuals."He said: "To have a security blanket is so rare. As much as I love this job, I’m also prepared to adapt and move onto the next thing. Who knows what will happen over the next few years. But I’ve hope for the next generation of creators.

"I reached out to the cast director and sent over my work and said I wanted to be involved in the production.
