Police and fire crews blue-lighted to Millburn Street in the Royston area of the city after a car was stopped at around 5.30pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called in after a potentially hazardous substance was found. A witness said emergency services left the area at around 11pm after a car was taken away.
Officers arrested and charged a 45-year-old man in connection with drug and offensive weapon offences.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drug and offensive weapon offences after a vehicle was stopped in the Millburn Street area of Glasgow around 5.30pm on Saturday, 22 June, 2024.“A potentially hazardous substance was recovered during the incident. It was assessed by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and safely removed.
