The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing the 21-year-old striker over the last few weeks. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Beier, who is continuing to generate interest in his signature.

So what more do we know about the latest player to be linked with Liverpool? Beier is a 21-year-old striker for Hoffenheim and has been with the German club since Under-17 level. He is also capable of performing on either wing as well as in the centre-forward role. "Above all, it is important for him to even get into positions from which he can shoot," Matarazzo is quoted telling the Bundesliga website.
