The Lethbridge Filipino Heritage Festival brought in record crowds for its fourth year.Lethbridge Filipino Heritage Festival 2024Performance, food and culture brought hundreds of people to Henderson Park to celebrate the Lethbridge Filipino Heritage Festival during the weekend of June 15 to 16.
Crowds gathered at the main stage, through a mix of sunshine, strong winds and rain, to watch local entertainers, fashion shows and international celebrities.During the Saturday evening, when local band, JAM NUTS, and Filipino singer, songwriter and actor Ariel Rivera took the stage, hundreds of people formed a sea of star struck fans enjoying an evening of music.
CBC was on hand to talk to people about their favourite experiences about living in Lethbridge with many talking about the growth of the local Filipino community and the events where they can connect. This joy of community showcased the strength of the Lethbridge Filipino Heritage Festival in uniting Filipinos across southern Alberta.
