The schedule for the H-E-B Fourth of July Celebration, the city’s official Independence Day event, is out and packed with activities. The day starts at 9 a.m. with a free aqua zumba class at Woodlawn Lake Park Pool, followed by a free 10 a.m. zumba class at Woodlawn Lake Park Gym. Local food trucks and food vendors will be on hand at Woodlawn Lake Park starting at 11 a.m.
Feds to open full-service passport agency in San Antonio The welcome salute kicks off the evening program at 7 p.m., with the fireworks show to start promptly at 9 p.m. . The event wraps up at 9:30 p.m. Overnight camping is not allowed at Woodlawn Lake Park and you can’t drink alcohol at the park. The San Antonio Parks Foundation suggests that attendees bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, reusable water bottles, sunscreen and umbrellas to make their experience more comfortable.
