Davina McCall gave fans an emotional update on her application for a French passport, as the presenter returned to Heart FM after an unexplained absence on Tuesday

Davina McCall was replaced by Lindsey Russell on Heart FM’s Breakfast Show on Tuesday, but she returned on Wednesday morning with a poignant family insight, warning listeners that she would likely be in tears.

She excitedly shared: “So, today, I’m going to pick up my French passport!” Wanting to find out more, Jamie asked his co-star: “So, I’m just going to have to rewind this, how come you’re picking up a French passport when you’re a Brit?” “I’m not joking, it’s a very emotional day for me, I will be sobbing at the French embassy,” Davina admitted.
