Jeff Brazier has revealed that despite being approached for Strictly Come Dancing, he would not do the show out of fear it would 'steal the thunder' from his son Bobby, who danced in the ITV competition last year.
The show adds to Bobby's growing number of TV appearances since he joined EastEnders as Freddy Slater in 2022 and his recent Strictly stint. The young actor is following in the footsteps of his famous parents, TV presenter Jeff and reality star Jade Goody, who passed away in 2009. But despite Jeff being in showbusiness much longer than his son, the presenter has admitted that Strictly is 'Bobby's thing'.
Jeff continued: "I've got plenty of things that I really enjoy doing, I've got lots of exciting projects moving forward and I'll stay in my lane, I think," confirming that Strictly "wouldn't be right". He went on to say: "Encouraging many a conversation about loss & giving people an outlet for the tears they might find hard to release is a wonderful legacy of your time in the competition so far. You said something in the VT about making me proud of you? You and your brother achieved that a long time ago. Don't forget I've seen the journey and you both have my lifelong support & unwavering respect.
