Music icon Paul Spencer, famed for being a part of the legendary Dario G trio, shared an uplifting message on Instagram just weeks before he sadly passed away aged 53 following a cancer battle. The celebrated DJ had been upbeat about his health after leaving The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester last month, having overcome an infection.
In his final Instagram post, Paul appeared cheerful as he announced his discharge from the hospital, telling followers: "I'm Out Out! At last. Has Anything of interest happened in the outside world from the past month? I know you've been showing overwhelming support, love and strength for me.", reports the Mirror.
In an emotional interview with the Mirror towards the end of last year, Paul discussed his condition and the effects of his ongoing treatment. Reflecting on his journey and looking ahead, he shared: "I'm doing really, really well. The chemo and the medication arrested and stopped the pain and then I think the chemo starts to take an effect. I think in a month's time I'll be having another scan so that'll be around Christmas time. So yeah, my Christmas present is a photoshoot of another CT scan or MRI scan. I had one done on my brain as well because little problems appeared because of the chemo.
