Southeast Alabama-native country musician Shane Owens will perform at halftime of Dothan United's upcoming division clash on Wednesday, June 19 versus East Atlanta FC.DOTHAN, Ala. - While it’s hard to top the energy at Rip Hewes Stadium when Dothan United are in town, there will be an extra reason to make some noise when the Dragons take the home pitch once again on Wednesday night.
The team teased a special treat for their fans on Monday night, announcing their first live halftime musical performance that they would later reveal to be country musician Shane Owens. Owens is a southeast Alabama native with career accolades such opening for dozens of major stars, his music appearing in the Netflix seriesand even performing at the Grand Ole Opry in 2017. Owens was also named by Rolling Stone Country as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” and was selected as Independent Artist of the Year in 2018 by Music Row Magazine.
