French-Canadian superstar Celine Dion has praised John Farnham following his cancer battle during an Australian exclusive interview on Sunrise on Monday. The superstar, who is publicly battling stiff person syndrome , a neurological condition that causes muscles to spasm, joined reporter Mylee Hogan where she spoke of her respect for the star.
Celine Dion appears on Sunrise in her only Australian interview. “It’s prophetic that I performed the Voice with him, then I lost my voice,” Dion said. “When he sang that song, live, I listened to him a lot. I wanted to sing that song — I will reach out to him because I respect him so much,” Dion said. “He’s one of my favourite singers of all time. And I just will never forget the gift that he gave me .” Dion said when she was back on stage, she would sing The Beatles’ song Help for Farnham.
