Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar says he and his fellow castmates would "love to be back in Belfast again" to film another series of the hit BBC crime drama.
The cast members have hinted at a possible return by updating their WhatsApp group chat about the show, suggesting a new season could be on the cards. However, the show's bosses have yet to comment on the possibility, three years after the last gripping series aired. When asked about the possibility of a seventh series, Dunbar added: "I can neither confirm nor deny. We all want it to happen obviously so we're all keeping our fingers crossed. Me, Vicky and Martin really would love to be back in Belfast again doing another series. We'll just have to wait and see."
The actor also said his latest role in Kiss Me, Kate at London’s Barbican Theatre was a tribute to his late mother, Pauline, who died in December 2021. Just two months earlier, the star dedicated his GQ Television Actor of the Year award to the 89-year-old, who had then just recovered from coronavirus.
